Higher Lithium Intercalation Potential:
Traditional graphite anodes have a lithium intercalation potential of 0.1V, very close to the potential of metallic lithium (0V). This increases the risk of lithium dendrite formation. LTO anodes, on the other hand, have a significantly higher lithium intercalation potential of 1.55V, ensuring a safe margin that prevents lithium precipitation and dendrite formation.
